Component One - Personal Investigation
infoWhy this? This component introduces students to a variety of experiences that explore a range of two-dimensional and/or three-dimensional media, processes and techniques. Students will be made aware of both traditional and new artists and media. Students will be able to explore the use of drawing for different purposes, and a range of techniques using a variety of methods and media on a variety of scales.
scheduleWhy now? This unit is an introduction to the course where students will be taught about a range of different artists, styles, media and techniques covering a range of specialisms from fine art, photography, textiles and 3D design. As the unit develops, students will have more freedom to make informed choices to create personal and meaningful responses.
