Differential Equations

infoWhy this? Differential equations describe relationships between quantities and their rates of change, allowing us to model processes such as growth, decay, and oscillation. Solving them and applying initial or boundary conditions connects rules governing change to the behaviour of a whole system and helps us interpret its predicted development.

scheduleWhy now? As the final unit, this draws together established differentiation and integration techniques, exponential and trigonometric functions, and earlier mechanical modelling. These foundations allow us to focus on formulating, solving, and interpreting differential equations rather than on isolated algebraic or calculus procedures.
