2. What are conventions?
infoWhy this? Working with a digital audio workstation (DAW) develops our technical and creative control over how musical ideas are organised, edited, and realised. Exploring compositional conventions through this medium connects musical understanding with contemporary music-making practices.
scheduleWhy now? Building on earlier acoustic composition allows us to apply familiar musical techniques in a new medium, ensuring that technology extends rather than replaces compositional understanding. These skills expand the ways we can develop and refine ideas in the forthcoming free composition.
