infoWhy this? Sustainability requires environmental protection, economic viability, and social wellbeing to be considered together rather than in isolation. Comparing population policy, tourism development, and a future Moon base challenges us to apply these principles, weigh unintended consequences, and design solutions that meet present needs without limiting future generations.

scheduleWhy now? As the concluding unit, it draws together learning about population, cities, tourism, climate change, resources, globalisation, and human–environment relationships. Moving from established case studies to the unfamiliar challenge of lunar settlement tests our ability to transfer geographical knowledge and make balanced, evidence-based judgements.
