Where We Fit In, My Purpose and Strengths

infoWhy this? Recognising our strengths, developing hope and self-compassion, and choosing suitable stress-management strategies support purpose, confidence, and resilience. Examining conformity, masculinity stereotypes, pornography, and county lines helps us understand how social influences can shape behaviour and equips us to recognise disrespect, manipulation, and exploitation.

scheduleWhy now? At the start of Year 9, this unit builds on earlier learning about values, identity, emotional coping, relationships, and online influence, applying it to more complex personal and social pressures. Its focus on respect, stereotypes, and exploitation prepares us to examine law, equality, diversity, and social responsibility in greater depth.
